The Women's Pelvic Floor Program at Exhale Spine & Pelvic Wellness

Welcome to Exhale's  Women's Health Physical Therapy practice, where we specialize in compassionate care for postpartum women and those transitioning through perimenopause to menopause. Our dedicated approach ensures personalized support tailored to each woman's unique journey.

One of our passions is working with women who have undergone Cesarian section deliveries (C section). Addressing C-section scars early on can significantly reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore core and pelvic floor strength. C-section scars can also contribute to long term problems including digestive issues, bladder symptoms, painful sex, and chronic back/hip pain. Addressing the scar early on can prevent future chronic issues. Was your C-section, years ago? Don't worry! It's never too late to treat your scars and promote your long-term health!

Another passion of ours is helping women to ease through the transition from perimenopause to menopause. Many women suffer silently in this phase. Women are suffering from hot flashes, UTIs, painful sex, urine leakage, brain fog, and fatigue. We utilize exercise, education, and mindfulness in our practice to ensure a seamless transition into post menopause.  Our holistic approach not only supports  physical health but also nurtures mental and emotional well-being. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and Why you need it

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a conservative therapeutic approach to treating the Pelvic Floor Muscle.  This muscle functions to support the pelvic organs, assist in bowel/bladder control, and contributes to sexual function.

Nearly 25% of Women in the US suffer from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, yet women continue to be underserved. Many times, this is due to beliefs that this is a normal part of aging or part of having children. There is also a reported feeling of embarrassment to address these issues.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy treatment has been proven to be a highly effective alternative to management of symptoms associated with  bowel, bladder, pain and sexual dysfunction.

Through the use of advanced manual techniques, Microcurrent Point Stimulation, lymphatic restoration, therapeutic exercises, bladder and bowel retraining, and central nervous system desensitization, the patient can expect to have significant gains in their overall quality of life.
